Position Papers!

Hi Delegates,

As we get closer to conference, it's time to think about starting on position papers. Papers for OPEC will follow the standard guidelines for BMUn this year (check out the official guide for more info). Please make sure to give the guidelines a glance before starting, because the position paper format for BMUN is a little different than most other conferences. Instead of a topic background section, papers should have a thorough analysis of country position and proposed solutions, and also specifically address some of the Questions to Consider posed in the topic synopsis.

As for deadlines, papers must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Feb 5th to be considered for a research award, and by 11:59 pm on Feb 12th if you want to be eligible for a committee award.

If this is your first position paper (or even if it's not), head to learn.bmun.org to check out a bunch of useful resources, tips, and more that can help you in your research and writing process. The Position Paper Overview is a great place to start.

As always, don't hesitate to each out (and comment for the benefit of your fellow delegates) with any questions or concerns. Can't wait to read your papers!
